The proccess involved in registering is as follows:
The only form that you actually have to fill out (usually reached when on the login page you follow this link - 'New members: click HERE to sign up') contains just 4 unique fields.
The first field ('Enter your Member Name') Is where you put your Member Name which is the name by which we will refer to you, and will be asked for along with your password whenever you log in.
The second field ('Your Alias') Is where you put your Alias, another name by which other visitors to livegigguide will know.
The third field ('Your E-Mail Address') Is where you put your email address so that we can send you your registration number (see below) as well as (if you choose) also allow you options such as receiving an email when someone replies to your topic on the message boards.
The fourth and fifth fields ('Enter a Password', and 'Verify Password') you must enter your Password (two times just to make sure that you have not made any frivolous mistakes). Again, you will be asked for your password along with your Member Name whenever you log in.
After filling in this form you will be taken to your members home page and an email should be winging its way towards your inbox which confirms your details and includes the registration number which you will need to finalise er... the deal.
If you choose to recieve an HTML email, just clicking the registration number link in the email should take you to livegigguide and complete the signup process. Otherwise, when you are logged in go to your profiles (most easily reachable from the members home page), and under the general tab you will find the complete registration form, stick in your registration number, click 'complete your registration' and if the gods are happy you will get a registration completed message. Hoorah!
Oh, one last thing. If you need to change your email address for some reason, you can do so under the general tab in your profiles. A new registration number will be sent out to this new address so that you can verify this address and return to full member status.
